Reflection Questions
1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?
My magazine uses brighter colors and bolder lettering to emphasize the lifestyle aspect of my product. It promotes more of a realistic lifestyle rather than luxury. My target audience was mostly for younger people, not just teens but younger adults as well, with an interest in balancing their lifestyle in a positive way.
2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
My magazine has a bright appeal which would draw the readers in. It's also not overwhelming or bunched together, rather it has a clen and simple look that would make people want to read it. The content in my magazine is also useful for everyday life, like cooking and traveling. My media could be distributed in shops or bookstores, or even look at on a website.
3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
I learned to consider the smaller details when creating this product. At the beginning, my knowledge was small, but I learned to incorporate other content that I learned from previous Media Studies lessons like making decisions about color, images and content.
4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project
In this project I used Canva to create the magazine and my phone camera to take pictures. I also made use of my laptop to store any information that I needed for my product. I researched in online website magazines as inspiration for my own project.
